A lucky first guess gave two letters and their positions; some common last letters for a word ending OS_ were eliminated by GHOST (H and T; E was already gone). I ran through the alphabet, trying Y and C first; eventually tried K.

I started with the first and had the second in place and almost hit enter before I realized I had 4 letters placed. I am almost disappointed. I lost yesterday after trying what I thought was every combination to round out my" ios "interior , So this felt like wordle was being condesending to me.

Side note… My wife has the lowest average for the NYT game.
She had never played the NYT game before but does play a knock-off game on an app. I knew that today’s word is the same word that she normally starts with on her app. I had her play her first game knowing that she will probably use her normal word and get a hole-in-one. And she did.
Her average is 1.0.
