Exactly so.

Learning the ‘F’ was the beginning letter and eliminating ‘H’ as the last letter made this one easy. For a change. WordleBot sez there was no other word but the answer after FILTH.

ARBOR → Whiff. But not WHIFF. OK, let’s try one of my favorite second words…
HEIST → That’s… something to build on. Need to keep on the vowels, but with so few consonants…
TULIP → Feeling like I’m in trouble here. It may be time to try a double letter…
DITTY → No double letter, but three placed! Two guesses left, I may make it after all. Haven’t tried M or N yet, so I’m overdue. I’ll try both…
MINTY → OK, look at what consonants are left. C, but can’t think of any ?ICTY words… SIXTY is out… not NIFTY but…
FIFTY
This one went fast but I felt I was on a knife edge the whole time.

So after the 1st 2 guesses, I and Y were the only vowels left. Somehow I thought that FIFTY was more likely than NIFTY or the many _ITTY words
Phew! Amazed that I got it in 3 especially after a string of 5s.

An untried S led to guess 3. Too big!
I think we use the same starting letter, but it’s interesting we went to the same second word. It popped into my head fairly quickly. Not sure what that says about me?

Great choice for my second word…could only be one word from there. Love it when that happens.
Your chances of getting a 1 are still good! How do you make the font tiny? When I quoted your text, the tiny font came up regular sized. I don’t have font size options in my post/reply window.

Other possibilities were SHRUB, SHRUG, or SURLY. With Mardi Gras and pancakes in mind, i thought SYRUP was a good guess.

First 3 in nearly a week,
This was a fun one. After my start word, I knew
it begins with S, and R in either the 3rd or 5th slot. No way to do a thorough search for words with R in the 5th slot, but if R is in the middle, there’s a limited number of letters that can go in the 2nd slot, and A and T are already out. Came up with roughly 20 possibilities there, and my usual second word, NICHE, looked like a fine choice to narrow down those possibilities, and hopefully do the same for the presumably large number of possibilities ending in R.
And it did the job. A blank on NICHE knocked out all the possibilities with R in the third slot except SYRUP, and the only word I could come up with ending in R now was SPOOR, which just didn’t seem likely. So SYRUP it was.

Under ‘share’, there’s an option for ‘copy’ (which you can then paste here).
