Wordle 615 3/6*
BACON
ABHOR
ARBOR
And yep, another doubler. I’m getting the feeling that they’ve run out of words with 5 unique letters and are going to 4 unique and a double. That might make it easier to guess.

Well, I won’t complain about my 4 today.

IRATE
GROAN
ARMOR
ARBOR
I had ARDOR, too, but ARBOR seemed more Wordle-y. So I tried it first and lucked out.
Wordle 615 3/6
STARE
RABID
ARBOR
After guess 2 I had ‘possible positions for the A and R’ spelled out on my notes as “A - R -B - A - R”—not the exact solution, but near enough to suggest it as a decent next guess.
Wordle 615 3/6
STONE
CORAL
ARBOR
Wasn’t expecting to get this in 3. Had a long list of words to choose, and I got lucky.
As far as the R’s go…seems to be an ongoing pattern with some letters going on hiatus, and then we get a bunch of them at once. That can end up being a bit predictable on one hand, but it also keeps us on our toes too, as you just never know. Such is the way of Wordle.
And 11 double-letter words this month isn’t the most we’ve had…that award goes to July 2022 which had 14 of them, but February isn’t over yet.
VAGUE → Slow start. Time for one of my go-to second guesses…
ROAST → Good guess. But a lot of rearranging left to go. Seems a little early to start with repeat letters, but I’ve got a good feeling about this…
AROMA → Improved placement, at least. Thought of ARROW for a second, but decided to try…
ARDOR → Fortunately, the previous guess had eliminated ARMOR, so it must be…
ARBOR
Fast five today.

ARBOR
Drat! Like @minor7flat5 and others, of the three words I could think of, I tried them in the wrong order, and I’ve also lived in Ann Arbor. It was just for 2 months, over 20 years ago, but it was a pleasant and memorable stay and I was thinking about it yesterday..

Wordle 616 5/6
CLASP
TENOR
MIGHT
WITTY
FIFTY
After 2 I was expecting the _IGHT trap, of which I had only not checked M and F. After 3 I could see fifty, but also a minor _ITTY trap, with ditty, kitty and witty. I played it safe.
Fourth day in a row I’ve posted a 5 or 6. Ouch.
Wordle 616 4/6
ASIDE
COURT
NYMPH
FIFTY
i guessed FIFTY before attacking the _ITTY challenge. I had eliminated DITTY, but the Scrabble dictionary added BITTY to WITTY and KITTY, so my next guess would have been WAKES to eliminate W and/or K.
