I can just imagine in December 2029 a retrospective of the decade spending 30 seconds reminding us of the Wordle phenomenon of 2022. And we’ll all say “oh yeah, I remember that.”
3 again. As usual, mostly luck in picking that right word when I did because I was considering a different option.

I’ve been having good luck with my opening word which is an amusing word to me even though I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t like the actual thing. I’m sure I’ll move on when I discover another “fun” word to use.

At the risk of introducing spoilers for future words, I did thirty seconds of poking around and
it turns out the game’s source code contains every correct answer, for past and future dates, in sequential order.
Tomorrow’s answer will be “shard”, followed by “pleat”, “aloft”, and “skill”.

Last puzzle was not my best; only one letter in the wrong place after two guesses. So it took me five (although was reduced to two answers by four).
I was thinking the combination of ORATE and SHINY would do a good job covering common letters and diphthongs. It includes all the vowels (except U) and six common consonants.
I’ve been playing a couple weeks, this is the first one that wasn’t fun.
