Been on somewhat of a hot streak with 3’s lately - and had a couple of chances at 2 where I simply picked wrong out of two choices). Total stats are now:

RILED → I got stuck here looking to knock out more consonants. But maybe there’s a double letter…
SPILL → There is! But do I have enough guesses for the last letter. I think so…
SHILL → that wasn’t it. Do I go with the Wizard of Id word, or…
SKILL → Whew.
ALOFT turned out to be a good start, because I had already eliminated STILL. Otherwise, I might have looked very unskillful.
I’ve only been doing this for a couple weeks, but this is the first time I’ve seen a word with two of the same letter. That kinda messed me up, as I had been under the impression that there were five different letters in each word. Now I know better.
But I still got it in 5.
