TROVE → Possible danger start, need to hit on some consonants fast
LOOSE → Got a good one, and no double O or S
ALONE → A lot of good fill-ins already gone, I’ll try
BLOKE
Getting RST out of the way early helped, they would have slotted in between O & E for a lot of words…
Shoulda gone with my gut.

I had BLOKE in mind for my third try, but then I thought, “No! They always use those double letters!” So I went with ELOPE instead. I R DUM.

BLOKE
Looks like a lot of us ‘Mericans went with GLOBE first. I think the only place I’ve ever encountered BLOKE is in Andy Capp comics.
And GLOVE too.

Close.
Got it in two. Lucky guess.
CRATE
BLOKE
I was going to use Broke, even with the already eliminated R, just to get more information. Then I remembered bloke and thought I’d try that, not imagining it would be today’s word.
I had the same last 3 words as GreenWyvern.
I started with a pretty random low percentage word, which was not super helpful.

Well, I was completely stuck with 251. Guesses 3 to 5 were attempts to narrow the letters down and my final guess was just me giving up. It was a word I know but my brain just couldn’t put it together from the letters available even though I’d narrowed it down to only a few.

VIVID
Heh Richard I wondered if this will trip some up. Two double letters, and one of them uncommon. Let us see what happens…
Thank you. It is weird for me to refer to today as tomorrow, but as I used to be in the opposite shoes when everyone else would post their solutions ahead of it changing for me (until they shifted it from GMT to the IDL), I figure it’s an easy enough thing for me to do.
Tomorrow’s is… interesting.
Wordle 251 4/6
Since you linked to Quordle, I thought I’d suggest another challenging variation that’s a bit different. It’s called Absurdle, and the game changes the target word to avoid your guesses, until you pin it down. It has been taking me about 8 tries to get the word. In my last game, I tried to force it into giving me a particular word, and came within one letter.
My recent hoopla (digital library)checkouts all had eccentric English blokes.
Hmm. If your start with the same words, that one will give you the same solution.
Absurdle 5/∞ Absurdle @ Things Of Interest
So i guess that’s why it gives you the option of a random guess to NYC things up. I imagine it’s more fun if your opening guess is random.

Another tough one, another five.
I haven’t read any posts. This puzzle really worries me. I have two more guesses and so far only one letter is correct. I have played these words:
HAIRY
STONE
CLUMP
GAWKS
Of these only the letter I (India; in HAIRY) is yellow. That’s the only letter I have so far.
This leaves only the following letters, and these consonants are the least frequently used letters (per Wiki): D F B Z V X J Q
Here’s the Wiki page, probably known to all of us in this thread:
Here’s what I have so far and it doesn’t look promising. Can I spoiler a picture? I will try that now.
(Hmmm, looks like I can’t spoiler that correctly, you still have to click on the link)
My win streak of 63 of 63, 100% since I started playing on 12/24 is at risk!! (my first post in this thread is post #3)
Must get to work!!
