I played the same game today as I did yesterday, except yesterday, I fought and fought with that puzzle. Happily, today’s went much faster!

A bit of a tough go for me today. Lost the coin toss between STOUT and STOCK. But STOOD remained as well, which I didn’t see, so a six was possible.

Tried a new opener on a lark, would not recommend.
MARCH → Good opener, but I need to try some more vowels…
TWICE → No help there. O or U… and I haven’t tried S yet… I’m not feeling STUCK, so I’ll try
STOCK
Scoredle has a tough time with this answer, falling into the STO– trap and taking all six guesses.

STOCK
Nailing the ST out the gate was great, except then I had to go with a sleuth word on 2nd guess…way too many ST words. That paid off and I got lucky with choosing correctly (Stock over Stuck).

AROSE
STOIC
STOCK
STOIC was ‘want to try the S in first place and then either an H or T in second.’ STOCK would have worked just as well for that, and then I’d have had a rare 2! Oh, well.

The other two possibilities after my opening word, per Scoredle, were ‘alurk’ and ‘alure,’ neither of which I’d have considered as a potential solution. There was really only the one possibility.

I feel like flora was the only common word available after 2. I also feel like this is the kind of answer that seems like it’s going to be tough, but turns out to be easy.
You did well having only three of the letters. I was lucky, having four of them.
