I totally disagree with the comments about this not being a real word. As any woodworker knows, a splat is a piece of wood at the back of a chair, not just a cartoon sound effect.

But it’s only a common word on account of its meaning as a cartoon sound effect. So whether it’s reasonable as a Wordle solution stands or falls on that meaning. (I’m OK with it but I understand why others aren’t.)

I love it when the less-common consonants hit. APART was designed to eliminate all but one word, whichever word that turned out to be, and it worked exactly as I planned.
