Fun one today…decided to go with different start words for a change. They left me 5 words that I could see. I took a chance on the Z, but Hertz told me exactly what it was (Retry would not have done that, except it’d be right, but no regrets).

RETRY → E, unplaced. Can check A or I with comcons next, though in plural form… let’s try A
LANES → Didn’t even place the E. Be nice to try two more vowels - make it so!
VOICE → Hit on one, and placing the E is nice. Still… where are the consonants? But I also need to try U, which would fit in well before the E. I though a long time before I hit on
IMBUE → So, ?I?UE, should try a Q before the U which leads us to
PIQUE
I was considering possible -IE endings on that fourth guess, which almost certainly would have had me finish in six (or worse). Also, a wrong decision right up at the top turned out to maybe cost me a guess later.

I was one day early with the Q!
It took me a good long time to see any words fitting the _I__E pattern without any eliminated letters. Fortunately I saw PIQUE before PIECE. Could also have been PIXIE.
Looks like a 4 today is not a bad place to be.

I wanted to go with Piece at 2, but changed at the last second. I’ll take the 4 though with that low use Q, which I rarely play early on.
