Once I knew this ended in T, I wanted to try words ending AT (and then would have tried OT and UT words if those vowels hadn’t been eliminated). I looked at a list of words ending in AT and found JURAT, which is the portion of an affidavit in which the 'when, where and before whom was this signed’ information is found.
So that was interesting.

I almost always check the R early (first two words), but dang it if I didn’t today. After Caste, I had eliminated all the words I had listed and didn’t have Carat on my radar at all…took me a bit to see it.
Same person I was talking about a couple days ago claiming all the “got it in one” Wordles just posted today that she got Quordle in 1,2,3,4. The words were in the order she claimed to get them:

I started with the same word yesterday amd had the same 2 yellows. I chased them all over the board yesterday until finally getting it in 5. And WordleBot told me about my 2nd guess yesterday that CORAL would have been more efficient, so I tried it today, and it worked!

Second guess to try the TH I always gravitate towards when I have an unplaced T, the O as another vowel, and the S—turns out it gave me all the info I needed.
Scoredle tells me it would’ve guessed ‘TETES’ second, and I really can’t figure out what that would’ve accomplished. What’s the strategy behind trying out repeat letters that early?

My second word apparently narrowed things down to just one possible solution, I just had to find out what it was. Which reminded me of this:
I didn’t hear him enter, but my nostrils flared at the smell of his perfume… Pyramid Patchouli. There was only one joker in L.A. sensitive enough to wear that scent and I had to find out who he was.
