Of those 42 words that Scoredle says were possibilities (that’s what the numbers are from) after my third guess, about a dozen of them were legit possibilities, so chances are that several of them haven’t been used already. So I’m very, very happy to have gotten out of this one with a 4.

I got pretty lucky with this one. I didn’t even think about the [CDFP]RIED trap, and if I had seen it after missing on the (actual) answer, I’d have had a coin flip’s chance of going out. Sweated a par.

BRIEF - It was very unlikely that the ‘e’ would be the starting letter or the second letter, which left ‘ie’. I made a lucky pick.

Ugh. I haven’t had a fail in a looong time. I blame not playing with my morning coffee as usual. Just had a long, tiring work day and figured I’d knock out Wordle while on the toilet. My head wasn’t in it. I was sure I had it solved at three, then four, then five.
By six, I had BRIE_. I literally looked at every available letter three times and concluded that BRIER, however obscure, was the only possible solution. Can’t say why I kept skipping over that F. (And why I didn’t bring the E in much earlier.)
But again, long day at work. My brain was shot.

This is the kind of Wordle I used to really enjoy but now just feels like work. After 2 I kept seeing more and more possible answers. I think I ended up with 18 possible answers that haven’t been used before, and there are probably even more but that’s how many I ended up with. The most common letter those 18 answers started with was D, then F, then B. There were also a bunch of I’s involved. So fried ended up being a way to check the three most common letters to try and save par.
Fortunately I didn’t have to worry about the _RIED trap since I’d already eliminated C & P and I was checking F.
I spent entirely too much time getting this 4.

WordleBot gave me only 64 for skill today, even though my opening word eliminated all but 9 words and my second word eliminated all but 4. I’m beginning to suspect that WordleBot just sort of phones it in, and its heart isn’t really in the game anymore.
