PESKY → Slow start, but placing the E is cool. I’d like to try an A with three comcons, and the first one I thought of is a past-tense variant
LEANT → Though LEARN would have been good, then I would have been able to try TEACH next time instead of
REACH → so HEA??, Y is gone so HEAVY is out, time to double up on that E
HEAVE
Late night Wordle - feeling too tired for an insightful summary. Fortunately, I wasn’t so tired that I missed the puzzle.

After five guesses, I only had the A and final E. I’d eliminated a lot of consonants, though.
I was plenty worried. I have a long winning streak I’d hate to see come to an end.

I remembered this from my last 6 when the answer was image, so I just used the same guesses in the same order as then: weave, quake, adage, image. Fortunately weave narrowed it down right out of the gate.

I almost went with HEAVY, then my aging brain actually remembered that being a relatively recent answer, and the second E jumped out. Happy with par today.

A lucky 2nd guess. After looking unsuccessfully for words ending in AHE, I found the solution, which according to the Bot was the only guess left.
And 4% of players didn’t get it, which sadly means a number of broken streaks today.

I’m good with a 4 for this one. Of course in hindsight, should have gone with my usual Choir second…I’d have had this in 3 guesses. I forgot to look at the E in 2nd spot too, but no regrets…the words I played eliminated all but 3 words (Heave, Weave, Amaze), and I was happy I chose the right one.

HEAVE → Try an O and three comcons to go with that A.
TALON → Three letters to jumble. Can they go with two more comcons? I see one word
ORALS → but failed to notice I’m trying the A again where I know it isn’t. Sigh. Time to look at some lesser-used consonants
MODAL → Suddenly, all three letters are placed - but what else to try? Did some solar scope testing today, so I’ll try
FOCAL → but should have repeated the L instead.

Scoredle started guessing the eventual answer with the fourth guess, so I guess I was a bit of a fool to not see it. Still pulled it out, though.
