Saved par by using up most of the consonants. Still, I deliberated long and hard before doubling a letter that wasn’t already on the board. I avoided TITLE at three for that reason. It still would have led me to a four, but in less time.

SHANK → Slow start, but KOed N & S. I"ll try O & L with a couple more comcons, and the H of course
HELOT → E & T are nice pickups, but still nothing placed. I’ll try to put T & H together, and maybe it’s time to repeat the E
ETHER → Didn’t do much except elmiinate another possibility. H must be 4th or 5th, so if it’s fifth, T 4th, E must slide into middle… TEETH, but already excluded. So, -THE ending, L is gone, hmm, do I feel lucky with another repeat letter?

I was confident it was of the form _A_ET, but I couldn’t see any words to fit. So I started going through the alphabet, first checking B in first position then B in third position, and then when I got to C I found both cadet and facet. At that point I stopped looking and picked facet over cadet because it’s a more generic word. Luck was with me today.
