Surprisingly few possibilities left after 2. I could only find LUCKY, LUCID, and ICILY. LUCKY had already been used, and I went with LUCID to hit both the remaining vowels other than Y, not knowing what else might be out there. Turns out those three were all the real possibilities: even Scoredle didn’t have anything else other than things like XYLIC. Feeling pleased with this 3.
When my starting word fails to get any vowels, I have a go-to second word (neither of them have been Wordle answers). It paid off today and now I have to find a new second go-to. BTW, this is back to back 2 word guess wins.

RAISE → For a great start word, not much on today’s puzzle. But, bonus, I get a three-comcon guess for the second, along with a U
UNLIT → Good hit on the U! I think I lucked out that this was a better second guess than TONIC. And, I now have an L to place. It’s a little early to repeat letters, especially when I don’t have single yet, but I’m seeing
PUPIL → Which nets me nothing, but LU?I? gives me
LUCID
I should have thought a little longer on my third guess, but it was kinda fun regardless. Normal Scoredle took 5 to win this one, placing behind both me and Scoredle-starting-from-RAISE, so a solid par.
Lucked into a 3 today.

I didn’t really expect LUCID to be the answer. I was just letter-testing and liked a word that placed the ‘I’ in the fourth position, used another vowel and 2 other fairly popular letters. Out of 23 possible choices, it worked out!

No idea how I didn’t see Lucid. I tried Lipic, but it said it wasn’t in the word list. I didn’t think Ludic would be an answer, but I wasn’t seeing anything else. Finally I saw it.

I was immediately on the _olly train but wanted to pick the most generic word of the bunch. Folly has already been an answer so that left jolly. Always risky spending a letter on J, but no guts no glory.

JOLLY — bingo!
This one scared me because after 4 guesses I was in poor shape. But 1 possibility had already been the Wordle, so that really helped to narrow things down.
