Like @RTFirefly, I had also found ANTIC and learned it had already been used. Which left only TITAN.

Not really sure how I got there this time - I just went with “bevel” because I wanted to test whether L was the last letter.

Grrr. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen this word in its root form before today. I’ve seen it in phrases like “has beveled edges,” not that I have any idea what that means, but at least I’ve seen it. But the root form? Never. I assume it’s a woodworking term, but that’s not my hobby. Bevel bevel, this solution’s a mess…

I use it daily. But then, I’m a mechanical designer. It is a noun similar to chamfer. The sharp edges need a bevel.

HAWKS — my standard set of 4 guesses left me high and dry.
From here it could be belle bevel bezel jewel kvell levee level.
JEWEL — after choosing jewel I realized that this was not the best choice to try. Only 1 of those words had W while 4 had V. I am fast running out of guesses.
From here it could be bevel bezel level. And of those three, level is the most common word.
LEVEL — DAMN.

I saw BEVEL, JEWEL, and the less likely BEZEL. Then at the last second I spotted EXPEL. Went with the word that I thought would narrow it down to one and got lucky.
But I’d missed EXCEL, and if that had been it I was in for another six.
Mine was 359. I was really looking forward to celebrating a full year and missed it by less than a week. The culprit was MUCKY.
I’m at 397. I’ve had two losses: JOKER (Wordle 675) and the infamous PARER (Wordle 454).
I know we have people in this thread who haven’t lost since PARER.
ETA: The last time I missed a game was Wordle 390, LIVER.
