SWISH → Time for a good first word second. Most of mine still have S in the mix, though, and I really wanted to try an E, but no dice
TRIAL → That wasn’t much. Thought about GUILE here for a second but decided I needed to try the N and some more consonants, and sticking with the lone I was the best way to do it
FLING → Good placement on the L. Trying the G at the front along with a terminal E gives us GLI?E, which makes it easy to see
GLIDE
Scoredle looks a little self-satisfied today, with a “well, I would have tried the answer third!” With some more thought, I might have done the same, but I’m happy with a par.

I fell into the trap immediately, but then eliminated some good consonants to save par.
ALIKE, ALIVE, ELIDE, and CLIME were still on the table, so I got a bit lucky as well. I’m happy with this one.

I have this problem of recognizing when I can or can’t use a letter twice. For instance, the “T” in ‘slate’ was a valid letter, but in the wrong place. My brain always interprets that as ‘it can only be used in one location’, which is clearly wrong.
I had a 1 in 5 chance of getting it in 2. But, no. I’ll accept the 3, though.

STERN — it could be twain cyton futon piton titan.
It could also be baton talon toxin taken, but those were already used.
Similar are cyton futon piton titan, and cyton is not likely, so I’ll guess futon.

GLIDE → At least I got something. Feel like I need to try an A here, along with some comcons. TRAIL would be nice, but the L is gone, so I’ll try
TRAIN → which is great, TI??N, TIA?N goes nowhere, TI?AN means
TITAN
Usually don’t go with repeat letters at 3, but there was nothing left but the answer. Placing the ends of the word was definitely what clinched it this time, it left so few possibliities left for the vowels found inside.

I wasn’t sure if adding a third vowel was a good move at two, but I reasoned that there are quite a few words with A, I, and E. And even though there was no E, the terminal N and knowing where the A and I didn’t go led me straight to TITAN. No regrets.
