SWUNG → OK, time for a first guess second. Three WoFcons to go, and a pair of vowels, to get
LITER → Oh, dear. Looks trappish. Don’t see a place for Y, and two vowels to go. Seems a bit tight right now… is it an A?
CATER → Nope. Is it an O?
VOTER → Nope. Did I say two vowels to go? Could be another E. Ugh. Well,
METER → I think there’s just one word left…

METER-DETER club, always open for more members! I really felt like a character in a Greek tragedy with today’s puzzle; like every move I made was simply a logical extension of my solution process, but destined to lead to a six.
Was it Demeter?

DETER
Not sure if Peter would be on the answer list, but just in case, I wanted to check the D, M, P, and N - so instead of my trusty “Dumpy”, I went with PONDS, but realized later it didn’t matter - would have gotten there regardless if it was Tuner and not one of the trap words.

SLANT
ANGST
My first deuce in a month, and with a green and three yellows from my starting word, I’d have been kicking myself for anything less. The solution was a challenge to find anyway, because you just don’t look for 4 consonants in a row in a 5-letter word.
For quite a while, the only possibility that I could come up with was CANST, which is way too archaic to be a solution: “canst thou hie thee hence?” It turned out that that was the only other possibility Scoredle could come up with as well.
Another mediocre win for the week.
