That one took some work. As it turned out, most of the words I thought of after 2 in addition to my 3rd guess - amend, naked, vegan, but not apnea - would have narrowed it down to the solution. But it was hard to find that word, even then.

I knew just where I wanted to put that EAD, and only two words fit the bill. It could easily have been ADDLE or WAGED or something that didn’t end with EAD, so PLANK was a bit of a dice roll. But it paid off handsomely! I would have been terribly embarrassed if the answer had been NAKED, though.

SAVOR → Can’t think of a word with A, E, L, N, T, so I’ll have to throw in a nonWoFcon to try it. Perhaps
PLANE → Which is not bad. Played around to try to guess a T here as well, but saw one word I thought I should give a go
ENEMA → Thought of nothing with ANE??, so looked at ?NEA? and quickly saw
KNEAD
There were about four non-bogus words left after my second guess, which is why this felt rather like a slog. Still happy with a par, on the whole.
My scorecard shows that I have a 1 to my credit, but damned if I know what the word was (it might have been WEARY). If my current starter word ever hits, I’ll be up to two, then I’ll need a new starter word.

According to WordleBot, my second try fortuitously eliminated all other words except AHEAD and KNEAD. I found AHEAD very fast but also saw it had already been used. It took f-o-r-e-v-e-r to figure out KNEAD.

Looks like I’m in good company with a few of you who did the same with Began. Not much to go on with my two start words - I saw about 7 choices…not sure if I had them all, but I’ll gladly take the 4 on this one.

Mini trap. Three was my usual random guess. After that I made myself sit down and go through all of the possibilities. I came up with OCHER ( not likely), ODDER and ORDER. Couldn’t come up with any xxOER. This whole week has been 4-6. I don’t know how people keep getting 3. I only do when I’m lucky.
