There were other possibilities, but I liked SUPER better than SEWER, SEDER, SERIF, or any of the less likely possibilities. SEVER, SURER, SERUM, and SKIER had already been used.

Third day in a row where I ignored my instincts for guess #3 (I was liking Super the best)…should really start listening to myself. 
I’m ok with a 4 though…played it safe by choosing one of the two double E words (Sneer or Sewer).

SMOCK → Time for a good first guess second, that can play off that inital S
STALE → Mmmm, not great, but at least I got the E. So then I played around with WoFcons and another vowel, and hit enter on what I thougtht couldn’t possibly be a word
SERIN → but was. So I figured it was time for a Scoredle trick with a double E, which I tried with
SHEER → and so I thought about SU?ER words and landed naturally on
SUPER
Really wasn’t anything else after four, Scoredle shows the answer and three bogus words. When left to its own devices, Scoredle takes four guesses, including a double-up find-the-placement guess of SURER on its third.

Something told me that I’d be sorry if I didn’t use my second guess to account for all of the vowels, and then my third guess confirmed that I was in a trap. Three guesses left gave me a comfortable margin of up to two sleuth words. And the first one resolved the whole thing for me!

The first word I thought of with a P, E and unused common letters.
A lucky guess, considering there were 38 possible options according to the Bot. And the 2 is very welcome, especially considering I had a 5 yesterday.

SUPER → Thought for a second there I was going to whiff. As it is, try an A and two of the three remaining WoFcons with
LEARN → Placing the E is good. If I try the R in front, and space out the E & A, it might be
RELAY → Nope, R goes in the middle. LERA? or ?ERAL, the latter looks better for
FERAL
EERIE is Scoredle’s second guess, which places the E well (and the R also) but does little for other letters. However, it still finishes in four, just like me. This was fun, even if it was a pain to track down that eventually middle letter.
