Guess I’ll take a four-streak over a five-streak. Threes seem like a distant memory to me.

COCOA → That C is actually kinda valuable, with only three places left it could go. I should be able to do something with this. So - try something with I & E?
TRICE → Oooh, that was a good one. If the C is in second, I come up with exactly nothing, so I figure this must have an -IC ending. Noodling around with keyboard, I type in THEIC, which leads me directly to
ETHIC
Long gap to find the final word. Scoredle says METIC was another possibility, a word I don’t think I’ve encountered before.
Ugh. This one took an embarrassingly long time to work out. But I’ll take the 3!

WordleBot advised there were 3 words remaining after my second try. I’d found them both (TEPID and STEIN) but kept looking for more after learning each was a previous answer. For some reason, I really resisted a word starting with ‘E.’ When I finally found it, it was a E-ureka moment!
Believe me, I’m with you on this!

A lucky 3. I had a half-dozen possibilities, and my third guess was the one that would have eliminated the most of the others, had it been wrong.
ETA: I’ve been alternating 3’s and 4’s for nearly two weeks now. Really expected this to break that streak.
