SHOVE what a romantic thought
ENDOW → Two yellows, both vowels. Alas, the D eliminiates RODEO. I guess I’ll work my way through WoFcons, as there may not be another vowel to see
STORE → S is nice. But now it looks like a trap. SMOKE, SLOPE, SPOKE, SCOPE, SHOVE off the top of my head. I feel like I need to get P involved, as it can stand in both spots. Try it with the last WoFcons
SLOPE → Nuttin. SMOKE or SHOVE? Coin flip yields
SHOVE
Scoredle finishes in five again today. It didn’t have a 50-50 at the end, so only a lucky coin flip separates us.

Should’ve listened to my intuition on this one, but my intuition in this game is so unreliable.
I saw HILLY right after 2, but usually with only 2 yellows at that point, there’d be too many other possibilities out there, many of which I couldn’t even see, and a guess like that would lead me on a wild-goose chase - hello, 5 or 6.
What I didn’t realize was how much those first two guesses had narrowed things down - other than HILLY, all that was left (per Scoredle) was LYMPH and maybe HULKY. If I’d have known that, HILLY would have been an easy choice.
But for me, the challenge of the game is the reality that there’s usually no way of knowing what all the possible solutions are in a situation. You can rack your brain to come up with as many possible solutions as you can, but you don’t know how many possibilities you’ve missed, and you’ve got to decide how much you want to take that into account when making your next guess. Not only is that just the way the game goes, but for me it’s an essential part of its challenge.

SHOVE → An H. Interesting. Can I mix it in with two WoFcons and A & I? There’s a possibliity with L & T, but is it a word?
LAITH → Yes it is. I’m not getting U vibes from this word, but H and L… I may have to double up on the L, either CHILL or
HILLY
Glad I went with the one that covered another vowel. In my mullings, I didn’t see that my other option had already been excluded by my first guess. In that sense, a lucky birdie. Scoredle takes an unlucky guess with its first and ends up with a bogey.

YEAST (That Y probably goes at the end. Use two WoFcons.)
LORRY (Gained an L, which means xxxLY.)
IMPLY (Got an I, for xIxLY)
DIMLY (That was kinda dumb. It’s almost certainly xILLY. Better use a sleuth.)
WHIFF (Well, I’m getting a double bogey, but at least I get to continue my streak.)
HILLY (This is embarrassing.)

I realized at literally five minutes to midnight that I hadn’t played yet. And wouldn’t you know it, fell straight into a trap. Normally I would find all the possible words, analyze the letter frequency, and play a sleuth word. But there wasn’t time! I had to brute-force it, with predictable results.
