AMEND
HYENA
After my starting word, the only words I could see besides AMEND were CANNY and RAINY, both of which had been used. After AMEND, I couldnβt see any possible solution for the longest time. Had the devil of a time finally spotting it, and it turned out to be the only possible solution after 2.

After two I was having trouble coming up with anything. All I could think of was ACHED which I didnβt think was good as a past tense. Then I thought of HENNA and even though it had the double letter it turned out to be a good choice.

HYENA - Well, THAT took awhile to see.
HILLY β I guess the I should go after the H, so then try
HYPER β Which pretty much leads directly to

Scoredle pulls the exact same sequence of guesses. Only 23 possibles after the start word, with only about three having any possibility of being used at all. That was really quick.

Green N in fourth position plus another yellow got me excited to try for a 2, and I saw arena pretty much immediately. So I just shot from the hip and guessed it without looking for more possibilities.

Talked myself out of a three. I actually had AMEND typed in at two, which would have led to an easy birdie, but decided I wanted to try more vowels. Then I stupidly forgot to use the A.

CURIO (One U. Time for WoFcons. Thereβs almost certainly an L. FLUNG or PLUMB?)
FLUNG (Birdied again!)
HYENA β Thatβs something, though not a lot to go on. At least Iβve KOed half the vowels so far. Iβll try two more with a couple of WoFcons mixed in
LOINS β Gotta be a U in there. So, the L must move over to secondβ¦ ?LUN? gives several possibles, first one I see is
CLUNK β Running low on vowels. Next!
FLUNG
BLUNT was still out there. Scoredle gets unlucky with the first-letter-missing trap and finishes in five.
