FLUNG → Whiff. First guess second, time - and two WoFcons down, too!
ROAST → Hmmm. Am I out of vowels? How do I shuffle this up? I could really trust the B…
ABBOT → Noped right out of there - tried the T in last again?!? Ugh. OK, sleep on it. Looks like A & O are separated, which pretty much means ?A??O, TATTO ain’t it, TA??O isn’t TABOO, ?AT?O isn’t RATIO but could be

MATZO and OCTAD were both still out there, along with a few words of bogus dreck. Scoredle makes a better (but unluckier) guess on 2, which leads it to a solid 4 (though with a 50/50 shot at a bogey).

I’m confused. You often mention Scoredle’s scores, but they never match mine. For a while I thought you were talking about WordleBot’s scores, but that really didn’t add up either.
So what gives? Do different people get different answers?
For example, today I put LEAST TANGO PATIO, and Scoredle’s answers were SLANT TAROT PATIO. A birdie 3/6, not the par 4/6 you mention.
Are there different Scoredles?
Oh, right.
When I cite Scoredle’s scores against mine, I do so after having given my start word (yesterday’s solution) as Scoredle’s first guess, and making each subsequent guess according to its “best guess to make next”. So Scoredle’s puzzle for today in this way was FLUNG TARES PATCH PATIO .
I apologize for the confusion! I sometimes try to make it clear that’s how I’m going up against Scoredle, but it’s not something I do every time.
