MINTY → That’s something to build on. And, it leads in well to a great first word second
SLATE → Two consonants placed but nary a vowel. There are two left - U and O, and I see a word right off the bat that exercises them both (and a not-bad consonant to boot)

That went very quickly. Scoredle takes a detour through a bogus word and ends up with par.

SOUTH → One vowel, placed makes it not a bad start. For some reason I got hung up on A rather than E here, which was a good thing as it turned out
MOLAR → and going with M went well, too. So I looked at that, and my remaining WoFcon, and what immediately came to mind was
WOMAN → which led immediately to
NOMAD

Only a par, but then I am an imperfect biological unit. Scoredle gets it in three, and passes up my third guess to sink the birdie.
