ISSUE → Whiff. Not entirely unexpected, given the word. O, A and Y are left, while TOADY could cover them all, I think I’d like to get some more WoFcons under my belt
TONAL → Maybe it would have been better.
ROMPY → Yep, better. And now it looks like a trap. ROO?Y looks like nothing, so time to work my way through consonants

Scoredle lists four words on the pattern I rejected after three, but I claim they are all bogus words. Scoredle itself finishes with a birdie and a smug look on its face. I am at least in good company after three, as Scoredle’s recommendations matched my guesses from then on.

LEAST → Well that is something. Gotta be a vowel between L and A, so I tried a bunch of things with two ending consonants and for some reason it took
LUACH → RUACH I would have believed, but with an L? Sigh. Anyway, I decided to try with an I, and double upon the A, and cover the last WoFcon with
LIANA → and now I know what it must be, and that it didn’t have to be a vowel between L and A
