MUGGY → Whiff. You know the drill
SLATE → Two WoFcons left, and I can try 'em both with
LEARN → Hmm. That’s probably all the vowels I need, so what’s left in the consonants?
LEACH
It was a tap-in par, and indeed there were only three real options after my second guess. Scoredle hits some bad luck - on the fourth guess, it has only three total options left, but the two bogus possibles share all but a single letter - so it picks one of them, meaning a bogey.

A lucky second word. I didn’t check, but I seem to remember both LEAFY and LEAKY having been used before, so I stayed away from the Y. That was a good call, and I chipped it in for birdie.

SLATE
WARTY
CANTO
CACTI
After Slate, I thought of 11 fitting words, but 7 were Already-used
and Canto and Panty aren’t Wardle words. This left Warty/Fatty.
After Warty I asked the non-Wardle word without further ado, but
if I’d spent some more time word-hunting perhaps I’d have scored a Birdie.
I’ve gone back to my old Slate start, though with misgivings: Asking the two best
vowels makes sleuthing harder, but Crony is available worse comes to worst.
(If I’d use it here, it would have led me directly to Cacti.
)
Slant may be better (with Price etc. available as sleuth) but I don’t want to infringe

LEACH → A random C pickup, that’s nice. I can add O and a couple more WoFcons with
TACOS → Two letters placed! and it’s not TACIT. I thought for five minutes about what word it might be, kept coming back to (and discarding) TACIT, then thought about inverting the last two letters and it came to me
CACTI
Scoredle shows three bogus words along with the solution, so a virtual tap-in. On its own hook, Scoredle has the good luck to have the first three letters green after its second guess, with only three possibles left, but the two bogus possibles differ only by the last letter, meaning that Scoredle picks one of them to avoid an (impossible) bogey - so is forced to settle for a tap-in par.
