I guessed the same second guess as Scoredle, but diverted with my third guess until that lucky 1-in-3 par putt.. After our second-guess agreement, Scoredle starts into the trap and has bad luck, ending with a bogey. I guess I survived after, uh, flirting with disaster.

I had to choose between CONCH and BINGO. Those of you who know me as the Feud Mistress of long ago… I had to choose CONCH! And it worked!

QUILT → Whiff. With three WoFcons left and A&E to try, I’m surprised I didn’t see NEARS first, but I did go with its Wordle-valid anagram
REANS → Missed a double-whiff by that much. I noodled around again for a while before I realized I could try both O & Y and a couple more consonants with
HONKY → It’s a good thing I didn’t try NOOKY, or I wouldn’t have picked up the H that has to go at the end, then one letter fills in and maybe I should repeat it

One other bogus possible on the fourth guess makes that a near-tap-in par. Scoredle basically does it all with eliminations today - double whiff to start, third guess gets only the second letter, but with just one valid word left it also logs a virtual tap-in par.
