I’d guess both of those are on the full words list, but not the solutions list (i.e. what I like to call “non-valid” or “bogus”) - the first because it is uncommon, the second because it’s regarded as a slur.

SQUAD → Slow start, but at least I need not try the Q. I suppose I’m technically trying a good first word second, but it doesn’t quite feel like it with that U in

A tap-in for par. The solution was Scoredle’s recommendation on the third guess, so perhaps I should have thought more for the birdie - but there were five valid words (and three cool loanwords - PILUM, POILU and BIJOU) to eliminate first, so I’m not too chuffed about it. In fact, on its own third guess Scoredle goes for one of those loanwords, which I think assures it of no worse than a bogey, but costs it that chance at a birdie.
