PRUDE → Thought it was going to be a whiff until that last yellow. SLATE would be a good followup, save for the E placement, so I can anagram it to
LEAST → (or STEAL.) N remains of the WoFcons, if I move the three known letters over one and try again, I can use N at the end with
GLEAN → E is 4th or start; if start, A must be at end, EL??A looks fruitless. So with E 4th, A at start or end - ?L?EA goes nowhere, so AL?E? and that’s right up my

The third guess was effective (tap-in par, only valid word among four shown by Scoredle) but a bit lucky (12/44, only 10/13 or 14 valids). Scoredle does great, though; the followup attempts to place the known letter, does so and gets another letter along with it and then has 15 possibles to choose from, but the ony valid one is first on its list - so a birdie.

Sometimes when I have three or more letters known by round two, I’ll throw a word which uses none of the known ones to increase my chances of getting the two unknowns. Didn’t work here, obviously, but with half the alphabet gone by round 3, it was a pretty simple guess with what was left.

I’ll often do that. This time i choose to attempt to place some of my known letters, with some new ones. It worked okay, but i was left with two words and guessed wrong.
