I flipped a coin between these two, based on Preznit Fuckwit’s reputation.
BUTTE → Well, that’s something. With the T gone (and one wasted), many of my favorite first words second are gone with it, so what’s left?

I was down to two possibles, the other bogus, so a virtual tap-in for par. Scoredle goes the distance with a double bogey; it places the E with the followup, but doesn’t find the key consonant until the third guess, and then fails to repeat it until the final guess tap-in. Tough day for the algorithm.

ROIST → So, not bad, and I can build on it with the last two vowels, just for completeness, via
POUTY → Placed the T, not much else. Could I have duplicates of the letters so far?
MOTTO → Double-O, it appears. ?OOT?, H is still out there so that’s probably the last letter, and I don’t see anyone but the B to trust

WOOTZ was also possible - as if. Scoredle liked my third guess, 1/62, but there were still 5-6 valid guesses after three so par would have been a longshot. On its own, Scoredle also finishes in five, but has to sink a 50-50 putt to avoid double-bogey - the other valid had two repeat letters.
