The situation I was in after 2 pops up often enough to be aggravating - there are too many damned words that end in ER that don’t have any of those other eight letters, including more than 20 that haven’t been used yet. My sleuth word at 3 is the best I’ve been able to come up with for this situation, and obviously it worked out well yesterday. But I always breathe a sigh of relief if I manage a 4.
Today:

that third one isn’t much of a word, but it’s in the dictionary and it eliminated all but one of the possibilities.
The wordlebot choice was whisk, which works as well as pawky and is a real word. It gave me full marks for my choice, though.

DIVER → Slow start, let’s go with A and three WoFcons
SNAIL → So I’s in the middle, might have a double-L, this looks ike a trap in the making
SPILL → Sure enough. H, K, T… W, so I’m not safe. Nothing to do but try 'em and see
STILL → Nope
SKILL → 50-50
SHILL
Went from 1-in-4 chance of loss to 1-in-2, but pulled it out. Second six in a row, despite 46/1014 followup because it landed me directly in the trap. Scoredle also went the distance, but a better guess for its followup took out one trap word, and it was safe despite taking a double bogey.

The SH right at the start was a stroke of luck and kept me out of the S_ILL trap. Nevertheless, there were too many options for an easy birdie. I feel good about the par in this case.
