CROWD had been used; could’ve been CROUP or CROCK - fortunately didn’t see the latter, probably would have gone with it on 3.

I’m of the same opinion, but it’s not worth starting a fight over, so we all just put on a happy face.

DITTY → Whiff. Good first word second time
SNARE → That’s… not much. O & U are still out there in vowels, and L among the WoFcons, and there’s a word that can get all of them
FLOUR → That R must go in second, so what can go in front of it? I may have a double O, better check that
CROOK
There were six nonbogus possibles when I made my guess, so that was pretty lucky - I could have easily gone the distance. Scoredle finishes in 3, picking the answer out of a set of around twenty words, so I think it qualifies as pretty lucky as well.

CURIO (Nice combination of letters. CROWN and CROWD are already used.)
CROON (Damn me for wanting a WoFcon!)

Daily. I’m a problem solver, and I use the resources available to me.
ISWYDT.
I don’t want to start a fight, but I’m curious if you also use game hacks?
I use an anagram finder most of the time, if that’s what you mean. If there are others, I’m unaware of them.
No, I was referring to “cheat codes” that gamers sometimes use to get past a difficult part of a video game. I don’t necessarily have a problem with any of it. I have to look up crossword puzzle words sometimes for the more difficult NYT puzzles.
What sort of cheat codes could even make sense in Wordle?
Anyway, as I’ve said before, we’re not competing directly against each other. If we were, a shared, agreed-on set of rules would be a necessity. But we’re not, so people can pretty much go their own way in terms of deciding which aids they feel it’s kosher to use in solving a given day’s Wordle.
For instance, I don’t use an anagram finder, but it’s fine with me if kaylasdad uses one. If using one makes playing the game more enjoyable for him, that’s great! It’s a game, it’s supposed to be fun. Even if it means he needs fewer guesses than I do on occasion, that’s fine. I’m not competing with him.
Hope you enjoyed the earworm!
That’s out of context to what I was discussing. But I don’t wish to continue it, as this is a hijack that is going to bring down the wrath of Khan.
