"Wordle," a strangely compelling word game (Part 3)

CAPER, CEDAR, CREAK had already been used. Figured CAGER and CAVER were unlikely, the latter especially, since only cavers refer to cavers as ‘cavers,’ the rest of the world seems to call us ‘spelunkers.’

I like cream in my coffee too, so I guess I’m preaching to the choir there.

Gotta love a symmetrical grid.

Edit: I see I got a bit lucky here. I saw CREAM and jumped on it, but there were four valid words ending in K that I overlooked. Had it been one of those, I’d have been in big trouble.

CLOVE → Placed initial C is nice. Throw in an A and… I can’t get two WoFcons, so I’ll have to settle for an R
CREAM

I"m not sure I would call it sheer luck, but it definitely verges on translucent. Scoredle wins in four, which is better than it does from its start word, so that placed C with the initial word is a good one.

Today’s Wordle reminded me of the iconic and classic … 1965 record album (LP) by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, with Dolores Ericson on the album cover of Whipped Cream & Other Delights shown here https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/da/HA_WhippedCream.jpg

Delightful.

My parents had that album, and played it endlessly. I remember it fondly.

As did I. He’s quite a talented musician when you get past the pop stuff.
