CREAM → Always nice to get some common letters out of the way with the first guess. I’ll try two more WoFcons and an A… and that -RE sequence looks really good as an ending, so
STORE → May be all out of vowels. Swap R & E, move O to the front and try
OTHER → Oh, darn, I got doubled.
OTTER
OUTER-OTTER is the most common endgame sequence right now - I thought for a second my pair might have a shot. Scoredle gets into an traplike sequence with the last two letters green but nothing else, then gets a lifeline on four and finishes with a bogey. At least Scoredle likes my endgame once I enter my second guess.

Lost the coin toss on 3.
Kinda aggravating to get 3 greens with my starting word, and still wind up with a 4, but there were enough possibilities after 1 to be a mini-trap. BLAND, FLANK, PLANK had already been used, but that still left BLANK, CLANK, CLANG, GLAND, PLANE.

OTTER → Whiff. But in my haste, I reused a letter but somehow got very lucky, as SLAIN would not have been as good a second word in the event
LOANS → That repeat O sticks out like a sore thumb, but I know know three letters placed. I considered PLANK here, and I’m kinda glad I didn’t see BLAND, but took a shot at the first word I could think of
GLAND
So that was a very lucky birdie, and somehow duplicating a known not-good letter still helped me. Scoredle, better than me but less lucky, ends up with a bogey.

Wow, I made quite a mess of this one.
I suppose I could defend all of my choices, but the truth is I was playing too fast and not really thinking things through.
My one saving grace is that CLANG and GLAND were the only legit words left after four, so at least I wasn’t going to fail.
