I used the same start word as Scordle and beat it by one, but only because I won the coin-flip between CURSE and PURSE and it didn’t.
Scordle did check for a second E, however, which I did not. VERSE would have sent me to the bogey. So overall, I’ll take what I got and be happy.

RESET → Not much help. L & N left. Gotta get some greens soon. Figured I’d try an L word, but got so obsessed with it I ended up with
SLIER → which is horribly bogus and repeats the E in fourth. Ugh. Really should have gone A here, right? So I amended my ways and went with
SPEAR → and with three more words to go into the space and two guesses left, my streak hangs by a die roll

Someone upthread said the last word had already been used, in which case I was both safe and quite lucky I didn’t pick it. Scoredle has a much better third guess which leads it to a five.
