6 two days in a row. Those two starting words that got me a 3 on Sunday have not been much help the last couple of days.
Yesterday’s and today’s solutions weren’t easy words IMHO. Nobody’s starting words can cover every situation.

I see I’m not the only one who struggled today.
BOOTY → Whiff. Good first word second coming up
LEARN → Placed E is nice. Remaining vowels is down to we. I’ll try the I, along with that last WoFcon, and throw in a W (don’t know why I didn’t see VEILS here before, but)
WEILS → It worked out well. Not sure where I’d put a U in there, so go with a second E. Thought about ?ELEW for a while, then reversed the W and L and saw it
JEWEL
A lucky third guess saves par. If, in the event, I had made the third guess I saw later, I’m not sure I’d have seen the solution with the next guess - Scoredle shows 14 possibles, three which seem nonbogus. Scoredle itself works slower than I did, and ends up with a bogey.
Wordle 1,382 4/6
YEAST (A placed E. Big whoop. Any vowels care to reveal your presence?)
GEOID (Hmm. Try a U, and a second E, just in case.)
VENUE (No U, but two Es. Being April Fool’s Day, I wouldn’t put it past them to make it a three-E word, just to fuck with me. And I may try one if this next one doesn’t pan out.)
JEWEL (It panned out! [and my three-E word was going to be EELER.])

Damn another shot and two and guessed the wrong way…sigh
Still a nice way to start the day

Wordle 1,384 5/6
JEWEL → Was hoping for one E; am not disappointed. Next up, a good first word second… but with A, or O? I’ll try the latter
STORE → If its ??RSE, I might have A or U in second. But I see only one word with A, but at least 3 with U. So try the latter, with the last WoFcon
NURSE → I was right! Now, P or C… try
CURSE
PURSE would have been a better third guess, as it would have led to possible alternate words faster. Scoredle falls into the trap with its fourth guess, then goes the distance, so I guess I was pretty lucky with my guessing in the trap.
