“Wordle,” a strangely compelling word game (Part 4)

UNCUT → Wasted U, but otherwise a solid start. Need vowels, so I’ll try a made-up word that’s a homonym of a real word
STANE → And Wordle takes it. At least I got the E. With three letters to work with, I’ll try another vowel and another WoFcon to fill in
NOTER → No luck with the new letters, but at least the E is placed. I can try an I, and would like an L, but have to settle for another consonant
TINED → Process of elimination places the N. Assuming no Y, perhaps I have a second E?

Pretty much all bogus words until the solve. Scoredle grades my third guess as 22/34 (of course I missed an anagram that was its recommended play at that stage) and then we matched the two final guesses, despite the overwhelming bogusity of my fourth guess. Scoredle also finishes with a bogey, with a set of twists on its guesses that match mine amazingly closely.

It’s used as a description for 11 and 12 yr olds (and 10?) because they’re between little kids and teenagers.

Yeah, it’s basically replaced the phrase ‘pre-teen.’ It’s been in common use for decades.

TWEEN → Whiff with a wasted E. That could have gone better. Time for a word to check A & O and the last three WoFcons, it’s probably bogus but I’ll try
ROSAL → So that’s something. Probably not a double-L, so let’s try the O in the middle and L right before it
FLOCK → Placed, but nothing else. Perhaps a double-O? Maybe
GLOOM → Ah, O was positive, that means I should try

After my followup was nowhere in the top 120 (out of 4428), then 8/47 (where Scoredle would have guessed the solution!), 1/10 and 1/2 (only valid, so a tap-in) for the bogey. Scoredle works the eliminations well to get it down to a 50-50 for par, then guesses the wrong valid word to settle for a bogey as well.

@Rebo - looks like a solution for a vampire, no?
