The only other possibilities were LINTY and Wordle 866, UNTIL. Went with INTEL over LINTY in case UNTIL was being reused, I’d be able to get it on 3.
It’s not like we haven’t seen bullshit words of this type before (e.g. Wordle 1445, ADMIN).

Surprised that INCEL was a possible answer. I’ve tried it in Spelling Bee a few times and it never takes it.

Fleeting hope of an ace as the first two letters revealed themselves. Not to be, but still a great start, leading to an easy sea-of-greens birdie.

A very different birdie from yesterday’s. Went from a whiff, to no placed letters, to the win just like that. My second word reduced the number of possibilities from 3,695 to 4 (and two were bogus).

BLOOD → Slow start. Thought STEAL here first, since SLATE was out, but liked the E placement better with
STALE → Lotta pickups, not much placed yet. I decided to punt on a solve attempt here and find a place for the T
LETTY → There it is. I resolved to try N or R of the remaining WoFcons, and after some boggling settled on
INTEL
Followup was a respectable 70/1508, third a mediocre 21/33 but in the event it left only a tap-in for par, so more than a bit of luck was involved. Scoredle takes its methodical time, trying a letter placement with its followup and then WoFcons with its third, then picks the wrong end of a 50-50 (avoid slang and neologisms in the endgame, Scoredle!) to finish with a bogey.

Lotsa fun with the -OUND trap this morning, huh? After 2, I had unused BOUND and MOUND, and POUND (Wordle 49) was well within the reusable zone. Also, FOUND (Wordle 282) wasn’t all that far outside it. So a sleuth word was called for to get me through this BUMPY road.
