Mrs. Clubber looking for a job. Any dopers ever worked for RGIS (inventory contractor)? Pros/cons?
Friend used to. Work wasn’t always steady, you weren’t always compensated for travel time, lots of hours at night on your feet.
I did about ten years ago. Ditto mynn. Nothing great, but not awful either.
I had a friend who used to work for them, too. Ditto what Mynn said. She complained most about the lack of benefits, especially health insurance, and the lack of steady work. Sometimes she was working just about around the clock, and sometimes there was so little work she’d get a $20 paycheck.
Thanks, all. Maybe I’ll just take her on as assistant in my seal clubbing operation.

Actually, my friend never called the place “ar-gee-eye-ess”. She always pronounced it “Regis”! I think all her co-workers did, too.
ReGIS–like CHiPs, I guess.
I worked for them. It’s a shitty job, but no worse then other jobs in that pay range. and yes, we called it ReGIS.
