Even if Costa Rica loses, I think Navas is probably the MVP for the game. He’s made some great saves to keep Costa Rica in it.
Am I a bad person for hoping someone breaks Neymar’s leg so that when he goes down he stays down for a while? To steal from someone else, it’s like he’s trying to make up for Italy not being in it all by himself.

That wasn’t that big of an upset. The Mexicans were screwed by the ref in their round of 16 match 4 years ago against Holland.
He should be on a red and out. First for the dive, then for the dissent if it still happened.
I agree. The dive is supposed to be an automatic yellow.
Maybe I’m too harsh and people will say I don’t understand soccer, but I’d like to see diving being an automatic red.
My only issue would be that a call of diving can be subjective. I would like to see diving yellows be issued post match by FIFA on review of the game film.

Well, at least that would keep Neymar out of the final group match if they would actually do that. And Brazil really doesn’t deserve to win this game.

There was no dive. Neymar’s momentum was going one way and the defender’s hand on Neynar’s belly slowed his cut back down. Really surprised they reversed the penalty, because that prevented a possibility of a goal. I’m a Neymar fan but am also tired of his antics and am satisfied with the yellow for dissent. Stupid. Also Coutinho’s yellow was idiotic. Do the cards go away before the knockout stages?
Also agree that this World Cup looks wide open. I hope Nigeria beats Iceland. Would really be a shame to see Messi go out like this.
I would be rooting for Iceland if they were playing the USA because this nation has about 320,000 people (less than Santa Ana, Ca) and they develop players the right way. They are the proverbial David verses Goliath. This is likely a once in a lifetime ride. I hope they can go far in the tourney.
We have a 442 sighting at the World Cup. Another reason to root for Iceland. 
0-0 at half-time. To this amateur’s eye, Nigeria have had significantly more of the ball and haven’t the slightest as to what to do with it. Iceland, meanwhile have generated a number of chances but can’t find that final touch.

Iceland again down 1-0. Can they again fight back? Croatia has already advanced. They will likely rest their stars against Iceland on matchday 3.
On a side note, there seems to be no way to abbreviate Niger or Nigeria without the abbreviation sounding like a racial slur.
Among them a current talent deficit by the looks of yesterday’s lineup. I’m not the most knowledgeable footy fan around but I can’t remember the last time I watched an Argentina game where I knew so few in the starting lineup. The keeper was a backup on a modestly successful English team.
By contrast, at least six of Croatia’s starters were important members of strong clubs. Plus Lovren.
