Spain looked for most of the second half like they were playing to get to penalties and now they’re about to get screwed by it. Holy shit. Too bad Korea’s out - my dream final would still be viable.

Excellent game by Morocco, Spain had their chances (but so did the Moroccans) and their Keeper was outstanding all day.
Now can the Swiss upset the Portuguese and cause and complete Iberian disaster?
I’d love to see a final without Europeans, but that seems a long shot. Maybe if England beats France, and Morocco advances and beats England. I don’t think Morocco can beat France.

I watched the entire match on a flight, including extra minutes, which were winding down as I exited the aircraft. I only just now got home and saw the score, and I’m delighted to see Morocco has won. Partially the schadenfreude of watching a giant exit now that my teams are out, partially that I like Mazraoui, and partially that I like seeing someone from Africa keep rolling on in the tournament.
Now, let’s go Switzerland. We’ll see how long CR7 is kept on the bench for this one.
