World Cup [five goals in a match]

I could have sworn I heard that one team scored 5 points in one world cup match. My daughter scoffs at the idea. I tried to look it up, but cannot find the scores of individual matches. Can someone help me here?

Netherlands beat Spain 5 goals to 1 on 15 June, worth three points toward advancing out of Group B in the first round, and worth a 4-goal differential in the event a tiebreaker would be needed (it was not, for Group B).

Sorry; I believe the match was 13 June.
The memory ain’t what she used to be.

Thank you very very much. I could find all kinds of statistics, but not the actual scores.

All scores of all matches are on FIFA’s site, wikipedia, espn, etc.

Just type World Cup into Google. It brings up a scrollable list of all the games and results.

France beat Switzerland 5-2 as well. That match was played Friday, June 20th.

There’s also a nice statistics site on Wikipedia. Average goals scored per game so far is 2.83. Holland has scored 10 goals in three games.

Moved to the Game Room, and title edited to better indicate subject.
