World of Warcraft General Discussion

THIS SO MUCH. ARGH. That’s a lot of the reason why I hate Sunken Temple and BRD so much – hell, any place that’s got lots of levels that get squished into one giant blob on a map. Gee, thanks, that’s a big help when trying to get from Point A to B.

Mister Rik, I love your Ragdoll usage.

I actually abandoned some quests into Sunken Temple purely because I couldn’t figure out how to get where I needed to go.

Well, she looks so adorable sitting/lying there with her big pink pigtails …

Now I’m wondering what would happen if I launched one Paper Zeppelin after another at somebody. Could I completely fill their bags?

BRD has a pretty flat layout, the minimap is just useless because it’s so damn big with lots of twists and turns making it pretty hard to get a feel for it, but once you’ve figured it out it’s pretty easy.
The Sunken Temple is a maze though, I still get lost in there.

Dang. I guess I can forget about ever getting the Hail To The Chef achievement. It requires earning Outland Gourmet, and at least one of the required recipes (Buzzard Bites) is a quest reward. I already did the relevant quest a long time ago, and since I didn’t have the Cooking profession at the time I probably just vendored or tossed the recipe :frowning:

Is that something I can have a GM fix for me, or has too much time passed?

:):):slight_smile:SFG: “I think I love you…”!:):)

I know, I know: “Go and see if your diaper needs changing, old man!”

That what you just did for me, and the time you took, was just the most wonderful thing in the whole wide world!

THANK YOU!!!

No post, no thread. Just needed to get that damn “play on words” out of my mind, so now y’all have it!

Nyaaa-nya-na-na-Nah!

Two options. One, have a GM restore it (I’m pretty sure they will since its an achievement requirement). Two, buy it on the AH (it’s not a soulbound recipe).

… the game won’t level me up to 39?

Thanks for any help!

Is the XP bar all the same color or is it two different colors? You may have rested XP and that won’t put you over until you earn it by fighting. Or you may be less than a bubble off…you may only need a very little bit, but it looks like your bar is full.

It’s all blue jayjay? Do I need to go back and kill some more bad guys?

And I have lately been more than “less than a bubble off plumb”! HAHAHAHAHAHAH!:D:D:D

Q

Are you using the default XP bar (with the “bubbles”) or a modified one? I think blue means rested XP with the default bar.

No, it;s blue all the way across w/ no bubbles, and it has never been a problem before. I levveled to 38 the same way, jay.

Q

Well, it’s possible you just have a little bit to go and it’s so small a bit that you can’t really see it. Try killing a couple more monsters.

Go to your Interface menu and choose “Status Text”, then check the box that says, “Experience Bar Text”. That will show you the numbers showing exactly how much XP you have compared to how much you need. You might be just a few XP points away, and it will look like your bar is full but you won’t be quite there.

My gnomey has her own tiny green rag doll: I hit myself with baby spice so I’m the same size as it and ‘commune’ with it before particularly tough raid fights. Doing so after a couple of wipes has yeilded a 100% success rate. The TGR loves me!

As for the multiple zeps, I saw a great moment in Stormwind, think I have a screenie of it somewhere: You can run slightly faster than the zeps, so it could theoretically follow you forever if you didn’t stray too far from the thrower. There was a guy running in circles while his guildies kept throwing them at him. At one point there was somewhere between 10 and 15 zeps chasing him in the circle. Both bizarre and truly amusing!
Oh, and yes, you could theoretically fill their bags. There are a few other throwables out there as well.

Just went back and killed me some more Yeti, and that’s what it took, ah reckon!

Christ, I’m tired , little honeys!
See the blog. I’m wore out.

Paper Zeppelins, those leather balls, the haunted jewelry… All these things can be transferred indefinitely until the person runs out of bag space.

If the recipe is BoP, you can probably have a GM restore it for you. If it’s not, they’ll probably just tell you to camp the Auction House.

Aw shucks, weren’t nothin’ to it. If any of it’s unclear, you just let me know and I’ll be happy to break it down further.

Grats on 39! (Almost to your 100% speed land mount–only one more level!) And I’m sorry to hear about Betty. Many hugs being mentally sent your way.

Apparently, since the recipe is necessary for an achievement, GMs will get it back in your hands if you tossed it for some reason. Wowhead has some anecdotal evidence on that score.

Course, if you want to be self-sufficient about it, it’s only the work of a few hours to generate a new DK, run through the starting area, run to Hell Pen and do the three-quest quest chain to get the recipe, then send it to your main. A DK should be able to do the quests easily enough at 58.

I’ve got the Hail to the Chef achievement (took forever to get the Stormchops recipe); now I’m working on the Chef’s Hat. I need about 40 more Dalaran Cooking Awards and its mine!

I guess the next obsessive step is acquiring 160 recipes. I only have 114 right now.
