No, the one where you have to keep mashing the “hold on” button while at the same time mashing the “little spear” button, and occasionally hitting the “big spear” button which shares a cooldown with the “hold on” button…
Way too masheriffic for me…I tried it a couple of times and every time I managed to run out of “hold on” just when it was going into cooldown. Fall down go boom.
It’s a quest actually given by the Sons…you get it after you do the Thorim quests that switch the Sons from hostile to neutral to you.
Very funny, SFG! Reminds me of someone’s crack about Instructor Razuvious.
Raz : “I am the strongest death knight around! So mighty that I am chosen by Kel’Thuzad to train all death knights in his service. No one can possibly withstand my might, except perhaps my trainees.”
Trainee : “Hey Raz, where do you want these mind control crystals?”
Raz : “Eh, just put them anywhere. How about right at the entrance to our training area? Can’t see anything wrong with that plan.”
I guess any rep is better than no rep as far as the farmers are concerned.
Nice screen shot SFG. Only one person dead on that encounter? Looks a LOT different than what my guild usually does in OD 10. We are lucky to finish it at all most weeks. :smack:
That quest was totally awesome. Fight people on the back of drakes flying hundreds of feet in the air! Wheee! I agree that it should be a daily.
Aw, I like that one. Of course, playing a Prot Warrior, I’m used to frenetic button-hammering.
It’s a Sons of Hodir daily that opens up at Revered (or maybe Honored, I forget, it’s been a while).
I saw that one, too! Hilarious. I think someone posted it in the comments section of his page on Wowhead, which unfortunately I can’t get to from work.
ETA:
We usually don’t lose anybody unless they’re new or not paying attention. Really, once you get the rhythm down it’s not that hard to stay out of the way of the lava (especially since they fixed the bug). Based on how much of a lead I have on threat, I think that was one of our Sarth+1D runs.
I found a set of blue-name black cloth shoulders on the AH that, on preview, went perfectly with the robe and would have made her look even more awesome, but I passed on them because the stats on them weren’t that impressive - I think they granted only 1 more point of INT than the green shoulders I ended up buying, and the other stats were a wash, but were more than 100g more expensive than the ones I bought. I didn’t want to spend an extra 100g just for the looks.
Don’t know any JC’s, though I’m thinking of having one of my alts take it. The “miner’s consortium” ringleader suggested the same thing about buying up the cheap ore, though it’s looking like the 10g/stack ore may have been the result of a one-time idiot (though that idiot posted something like 30 stacks all at once). In the meantime, it appears that everybody else is either following my suggestion (or had the same idea themselves) of just sitting on inventory for a while. In the last couple days the Saronite Ore supply on the AH has dropped from six pages to three pages, to just one page as of late last night.
Let me hazard a guess: upon defeating Kologarn, his immense stone body topples over and forms an effective bridge across the chasm?
The downside of switching to my Hordies on Cairne; I have to give up my 76 Hunter. I was so close to hitting endgame, too, and actually being able to participate in all that stuff. sniffle
First, I’m pretty new to the game. I’ve got a Shaman I’m leveling with a friend (43 so far) that’s a lot of fun. But, I thought I’d try working on a different character too, so I’ve started a Warlock, going at a much slower pace. I’m very unclear on builds, and the few sites with examples I found were confusing. Does anyone have any good sites for reading up on Warlocks, or just some suggestions for how I should spend my talent points? I’m sitting on four of them right now!
The second question is, is there an SDMB guild anywhere? Alliance and/or Horde? I’d love to try the Alliance out but don’t know anyone who plays Alliance.
There’s a fairly active Horde guild on Cairne server - the Burning Dog Legion - search for “burning dog” on the who list of just hop onto the /sdmb channel and ask around for an invite. We tried to put together an Alliance-side annex of the guild, but it’s pretty much burned out/tapered off.
Probably part of the problem is that most or all of the builds you’re looking at are going to be geared towards end-game raiding, not leveling. When leveling a 'Lock, you have two basic options: spec heavily into Demo so you can have a strong pet to tank for you, or spec for a lot of damage so that you can burn through enemies before they can kill you. Personally, I went the former route on my 'Lock, so if you want to do the same, look for talents that will increase pet health, threat, damage, etc., and any talents that specifically improve your Voidwalker.
I seem to recall that we’ve got at least one or two people who go the “burn that shit down” route with their leveling Warlocks, though, so hopefully one of them can give you other options, too.
I love 'em to death, and wouldn’t take a billion bucks for any of 'em, but they are sure as hell some ugly critters, The Burning Dog Legion!
I gotta get over to Cairne and play my OWN Horde, “Quasimodem” (Dude, I cannot believe that name was available when I chose it for Wow! I THINK I can claim to be the “first” Quasi, but there’s a BUNCH of us running around the web now).
If y’all will tell me a time, I’ll be sure to go there and you can invite me, but I already am in a guild with my bud Amberale (“The EOAD FEEBS”). Can I be in 2 guilds as long as it’s 2 different servers, and if not, can we just group sometimes?
Also, me and Wolkie just hit level 43 (yes, we returned that quest to the guy at Booty Bay and also picked up the Mistvale Gorilla giblets quest, but we went into the drink AGAIN! :D)!
Anyway, I’m in SW, about to go buy some new stuff for Wolk’. Copied and pasted SFG’s response to my question about how to equip, so let’s see if I learned anything! (Thanks, Hon!)
Eonwe? Welcome! Everything you need to know is right here in this thread, so don’t waste your time going to the WoW forums. Just ask and you will receive!
Each of your characters can be in a different guild–even if you had two characters on the same server, they could be in two different guilds. The only thing you cannot do is be in two guilds on the same character at the same time (you have to quit or be kicked out in order to join a different one).
Oh, and I thought of you today when I was doing the crossword at lunch! The clue was “Lady of the Haus,” and the answer was “frau.”
Well, I just had a nice “experience” (if you wanna give it that much credit). A level 19 got herself into a bit of difficulty and couldn’t hearth out right away so she called for help in chat. Turned out she had enemies all around her, so I told her to hide, and then we just whispered to each other and I told her about the time me and Wolkie went from Goldshire to Red Ridge with him only a level 9!
She was finally able to hearth (she had done so previously, so had to wait out the time limit).
BTW, this was while I was rezzin from being killed by two (level 46) Glass Ridge Gazers in Tanaris.
Me and Wolk’ got cocky because we (43) managed to kill one of the GRG’s before, and weren’t watching and another one came up and down we went! S
We almost rode into Gaping Chasm, till I saw those level 49 birds!
Silka sure was cute doin’ those little back steps outta there!
