World of Warcraft General Discussion

With a bunch of people coming on and off during the summer, we’ve decided to split into two Uld10 teams. Guess who got stuck being the RL for the main/progression group? :o Our GM/main RL is heading up Group 2, which means I get to train up a new tank as my OT. It remains to be seen how things will work out with him… He allegedly had a lot of experience tanking on a Warrior in the past, but was away from the game for about a year and now plays a DK.

Sounds like a good excuse to request a foot rub!

For the green fi… re… oh wait…

MOAR LIEK OOMKIN AMIRITE

AFAIK, Stone Keeper’s Shards **only **come from WG dailies and Heroic bosses when your faction has WG control.

The official name of the form is Moonkin.

This is a very good idea. At Exalted, SoH sells BiS shoulder chants (well, BiS for anybody but Inscriptionists). If you’re looking to get rep faster, don’t forget about the Relic of Ulduar turn-ins (10 Relics = 250 rep, IIRC).

I have turned in so many of those already. People sell them for ridiculously cheap on the AH, guildies at max rep will give them away for the asking, and the mob drops are good. I’m going to wait till I get a really great shoulder piece and buy the best enchant for it once my rep is high enough.

Indeed. I’m just saying, I don’t remember ever once in-game, whether in a PuG or guild chat or whatever, hearing anyone refer to one of those druids as anything but a Boomkin.

Yeah, I wasn’t saying it was unique to us or anything, just that teasing the owly-druids is fun.

Yup, I was just giving the name for anybody who was unaware or had forgotten it (we do have some newer players following the thread, after all). So just remember, when I go into hyper-explanation mode, it isn’t necessarily addressed at the specific person to whom I’m replying.

My third druid (I currently have 2x level 80 druids; indeed, those are my only 80s thus far…) is named Laserchicken.

Good luck.

Heh dammit it can’t be that hard to do can it? Mind you it’s almost worth not doing so all the way too serious locks get their minions in a twist when you say it’s the most important change required for warlocks in the game cue the scream “What about threat!!!”

How many EU players do we have following this thread? I think it would be great if we could start a SD Guild somewhere on an EU server.

What level?

My shadow priest is level 75, and he can often finish fights with more health and mana than he started with, even with two mobs (although I’ve never done instances with him).

I start off the fight with Vampiric Embrace and Vampiric Touch, throw out my little shadow fiend buddy, lay on the DoTs, and start throwing damage. As long as I’m careful about which damage spells I use, my mana goes up, not down.

In long fights, of course, I can’t keep that up, but it’s not like my low-level holy priest that’s completely OOM by the end of a two-mob fight.

Only 47 now - I only have one of the vampiric things right now. Embrace, I think, and no Shadowfiend yet… I tend to throw shadow word pain and then spam mind flays with occasional mind blasts; sometimes I throw on a devouring plague before i start spamming the non-DOT damage spells. I only use Vamp Embrace when I’m soloing or in boss fights on the off chance my tiny extra amount of healing helps keep the tank alive in a tight situation.

How does Horde get to Azuremyst Isle and Teldrasil?

Catch the Alliance boats off the dock at the town in Darkshore. You may have to die on/near the boat due to the guards, then swim under the boat as a ghost and rez into it when you get near your corpse. Or just drown yourself under that boat and save the trouble of dealing with guards; you’ll rez inside the boat.

To get into Darnassus, you’ll have to charge the portal on Teldrassil. And if you don’t die before hitting the portal, you may well after zoning in and auto-flagging due to being in an enemy city - and there are guards right there.

In other words, painfully. Horde gets to Teldrassil and Azuremyst painfully.

I was afraid of that

The few times I’ve gone to Spanish-language servers, it drove me crazy to see that people kept asking for a “poyo” on LFG… bloody leetspeakers, a “pollo” is a chicken (which I hadn’t even heard as a name for a moonkin before) and a “poyo” is a piece of wood you lean stuff against!

ETA: I’m EU, martu.

What a coincidence - I got Chuck yesterday, too. I already had Chuck, though, so all I could really do is trash it (I’ve gotten Muckbreath twice as well). OTOH, I obtained Snarly’s Bucket a few days ago, so now I have the full set of baby crocs

Guys! BlizzCon live blog on the introduction of the new expansion! Squee!

FLIGHT IN AZEROTH! Among like, a billion other things!

It sounds like they’re completely revamping Old Azeroth into Azeroth 2.0. I’m going to have to start leveling my bank alts once the expansion hits (currently said to be sometime in 2010)…

I just hope to have an 80 by then. :stuck_out_tongue:

Waaah! Blocked from work! Stupid filters!
