Why wouldn’t I?
No, seriously. Why would you assume there was any kind of a problem playing on a Mac?

Well, yes of course, my point is that the bear’s special abilities aren’t really for killing stuff, it for making the mobs mad(Maul has a big +threat component) at you so other people can kill stuff
Balance gear and a balance spec, I can understand why you’re having trouble with bear form.
It just seems like there limited game title selection and customization options would sway people away. Did not mean to offend.
Macs are getting a lot more exposure these days, and any lack of game titles in general doesn’t really change the fact that WoW does play on Macs. Hell, I’m running Ubuntu at home and WoW plays fine there too.
I got to the point where that horribly flat “DONG!” of a failed quest was starting to make me long to punch out my monitor. I’m a committed HATE on Triage.
I did the quest once. Took me two tries. Thbbbt.
It wasn’t a terribly good quest, though. The fishing and cooking quests were more in line with what I’d expect: world-ranging quests forcing you to collect some relatively rare fish/ingredients. Obviously that’s not really as easy to do with first aid, since it’s a pretty straight-forward profession, but a game of Whack-A-Mole with special quest bandages just seemed out of place. I’m not sorry the Artisan quests went optional.
Of course, Triage **did **teach some useful things–like keeping health bars up and switching targets after starting a cast.
The bit with bears and rage is because bears don’t HAVE a staple attack until (or if) you get Mangle. Your main source of rage outside of instances is going to be your normal melee attacks, and whenever you use Maul, it replaces that normal attack with a special, so it not only costs rage, but it keeps you from getting any income, too.
Aye, this is true. At higher levels it isn’t that much of an issue since if you’re using bear form you’re either taking a lot damage damage and/or fighting so many mobs that you will actually generate rage from Swipe crits thanks to Primal Fury, you should see me in the Borean Tundra when I need some rhino meat, the rage bar will go up when I’m running from rhino pack to rhino pack while continuously spamming Swipe
She’s specced Affliction and is level 22. Mind you, to me “squishy” might not mean the same thing as it does to other people, and I also am training myself to use Drain Life, which will keep me alive once I remember to use it.
I have decided that any horse Wolkie rides is going to be Silka.
I know I’ve just purchased a faster mount with armor, but it’s just gonna be a “better” Silka, that’s all.
I ain’t leavin’ our favorite horsie in the stable.
I tried to get a pic of Wolkie sitting on her looking sideways, but forgot how to turn her to do that…
Thanks
Q
My, Silka has some lovely new tack.
If you hold down **just **your **left **mouse button, you can rotate your camera around your character. (I’m pretty sure that’s it, anyway–I’ve gotten a little messed up lately by playing Guild Wars, which uses subtly different controls.)
That should be correct, with the caveat that if your toon moves, the camera will automatically swing around again as soon as you release the mouse button (unless you’re on a taxi flyer (as opposed to a personal flyer), in which case the camera stays where you put it until you land).
Thanks, SFG! Can you also remind me how to remove the action bars from the screen shot pic? Someone once told me, and I wrote it down, but now I can’t find it!
Thank!
Q
I believe it’s Alt+Z.
Whoo-Hoo!
THANKS, Y’ALL!

Thanks for the help, **SFG **and jayjay.![]()
We’re now 45’s and I’ve learned “Shield Wall” and also how to use the number keys above the letter keys to attack/kill faster.
Heretofore (!), I’d just been using the mouse, and been losing the cursor a lot of the time!
Between y’all and Amberale, I think I might finally be getting the “hang” of this thing!
Thanks
Q
I’m not offended, just surprised by your “EW.” It seemed out-of-place. The number of game titles doesn’t really matter to me, since WoW is the only computer game that I play*, and it plays really well on a Mac, so why not?
:):):)
My gratz as well, Tom! I wish you both long and loving lives!
Nava! Great segue into “WoW-Speak”!
Ah, Og! You kids, you kids!
Q
You know, I think that was the first epic land mount I had on my main! Wonder if they’re related?
While you’ll always have some people arguing for using the keyboard to move and the mouse to click abilities, the general concensus is that it’s much faster to use the mouse to move while you use the keyboard to trigger most of your abilities (at least the ones that make up your basis “rotation,” as well as anything you’d need to mash in a hurry).
