So because we started with the new boss, no one got any loot - we knew the older bosses and could have dealt with them both in that time - and we all got big repair bills and grumpiness.

It’s nearly impossible to convince people to do the older bosses first, unless it’s the last day of the raiding week. A lot of people come there for Koralon specifically, and won’t want to be saved to the instance if the group can’t get him down. If the raid does decide to go for the older bosses first, it will usually result in half of the group leaving the raid.

I can see that in a PUG or 25-man, but we’re talking an all-guild 10-man VoA, with a couple never having done it as a guild raid and others not having done it on those class types, etc. Our tanks were definitely the ones with that attitude, though. They wanted to get at the new loot (one of them especially, when we’re doing any heroic, raid, whatever, he will fill the Vent chat with high-speed babbling about what drops in here that’s perfect for his character and what he’s going to roll on and blah blah blah), so they started us on the new boss, and didn’t even check what time WG was going to start at.

Book mark this link http://mapwow.com/ and use it for any future travel references. On the right side of the page there are some check boxes that you can enable that will show the zones, towns, flight paths, etc. You can manuver on the map by dragging it around and zoom in by double clicking (or use the zoom in & out tool in the top left).

As mentioned, these NPCs are part of a Theramore quest chain where you help discredit the rabble-rousers.

And lord how I wish that, once you’ve done that quest, you would never have to “listen” to them again.

Another Theramore quest chain. You’ll see the #/12 Marksmen Remaining alert whether or not you’re on the quest.

And if somebody else is doing the quest, you can help! If my pally arrives in the middle of somebody doing the quest, I’ll often just hang around healing the marksmen.

I use grid and clique in all my toons. For the healers, it’s much more compact than healbot (specially in raids); for others, it gives me a tool to see how are we doing and to use one or two key skills in anybody rapidly (I can MD on anybody as needed, for example, no need to set focus or whatever).

The other day someone introduced me to GridStatusMissingBuffs - now when my priest (or another priest in the group) has forgotten Inner Fire, I can see it on grid; it’s easier to notice a green frame around my white square than to notice a missing buff icon. I’ve set it up to show me who my warrior has Vigilance on, whether a DK has Frost up, Inner Fire, Focus Magic… I just love it!

I have about 10 things bound to clique. I have shift key and I have alt key. I suppose if I had the memory for it I could have everything bound to grid but…

No doubt I can, but I guess I’m an idiot because I can’t figure out how to do it. (Half the time my Grid boxes don’t even show up on my screen, which is another issue). My main and primary focus is a mage, and he never needed to use Grid, so this is new to me. It seems kind of obvious when I look at the options what I should do (IIRC there’s an option to show Aggro for a unit), but for some reason it doesn’t seem to work. What I’d like it to do is:

1. Show the unit’s name (or at least part of it) in the little square
2. Light up the square with some obvious color (like red) when that unit has aggro.

I’d be eternally grateful if a Grid expert could explain to me what I’m doing wrong, because clicking the ‘show unit name’ and ‘aggro’ check boxes don’t seem to do the trick.

I can’t really do it without grid in front of me. You are probably best off asking one of the healers in your guild.

I’m looking at Grid+Clique and looking at Healbot and struggling to see the difference between them. Is there any substantial difference beyond personal preference?

I believe Grid is far more customizable. You can tell who is standing in fire and who has a debuff, etc.

If you are a druid it is especially nice because it will also show you who has which HoTs of yours (and of others so that you don’t end up stacking hots on people when everyone needs at least one to get through the next few seconds.

You know you can reuse the same key bind in each char? Ctlr+left is renew on the priest, misdirect on the hunter, etc

Here in Panama City Beach, I mean? (On my wife’s lappie, so can’t play Wow.)

We’re in the condo (m;)), and because I can’t play, I am watching the extended version of The Lord of The Rings Trilogy, and thinking of y’all, WoW, and Azroth.

This place has 3 flights of stairs and no elevator, so with my gimpy leg, I’m staying in pretty much while the rest of the family goes out to the beach, restaurants tonight.

I WILL be going with them some, but I have to be real careful and it’s still hurts a lot (in addition to being out of shape from not having been able to walk normally), so I have to be judicious about my trips out.

I forgot to return Wolkie to the Sentinel Hill Inn and Heather, so if anyone 's in the vicinity, please look in on her for him?

I paid a little visit to the Trial of the Champion, and got Scale Boots of the Outlander. I love them (they actually match my Tabard of the Explorer nicely), and since my guild runs TOC a lot, I have plenty of opportunities for more good stuff. The Trial was much easier than I’d anticipated it being, especially the jousting part. I just need to run some other things as well. I also hit Exalted with the Knights of the Ebon Blade today. All those dailies and collecting of bones have paid off well.
