World of Warcraft General Discussion

No kidding. DHUD happens to be set up roughly like I had IceHUD set up, so I’m not missing it too much, but I love IceHUD’s tweakability.

Plus DHUD doesn’t provide a breath bar, and that annoyed me more than anything. I’ve gotten used to having a countdown instead of the stock UI bar. :stuck_out_tongue:

I totally forgot about feint. Thanks for the reminder

Aggro dumps hooooooo! I hate not having one on Sleu as Fury, so I always love and cuddle and cherish them on other toons.

Wooot! Hail to the Kingslayer, baby!

Arthas-25 went down last night, and on only our third attempt of the evening. Full ICC-25 clear in one night. I am a happy Kingslayer. (And now my main once again has a better title than my alt…)

That. Is. Awesome! What a great way to take revenge on all the AFKers lagging up Dalaran!

So far I’m pretty sure the only bug (of those I’ve experienced so far) caused by addons is the Northshire warlock trainer lockup. Most of the daily quest bugs seem to involve items/mobs that are supposed to constantly respawn, like the cooking dailies, the Rescue At Sea daily, etc., where instead of relatively steady respawn rate the items/mobs are respawning in fits and starts, and everybody I’ve talked to in-game is experiencing those. I’ll be interested to see if the snobolds for that one Valiant daily have the same problem.

2 days after the patch, Curse Client is still telling me all my addons are up to date, though that simply means no newer versions have been released.

The Don Carlos bug was simply that he wasn’t dropping the hat when you killed him, and that has been fixed. At least it was as of the 3.3.2 patch. It’s entirely possible that 3.3.3 has introduced a new and improved Don Carlos bug, judging by what I’ve seen so far.

You don’t have to kill Don Carlos before finishing the other quests and killing all the bosses, do you?

I couldn’t say - he was the only reason I entered the instance, so I wasn’t doing anything else.

Okay, thanks. Will have to try again some time.

Yes; once you enter Durnholde Keep, Don Carlos despawns.

Big Grats winterhawk11

Ha. I see the newest version of DXE has taken a page from DBM and added the “Run away, little girl!” sound as an alert.

Racist against fat people? Resist against fat people? I can’t even figure out what he’s trying to say.

That explains it!! I didn’t see that in any of the comments on Wowhead or wowwiki.

And all is right with the world! Big huge **GRATS **are in order, I do believe.

Racist against fat people.

Results 1 - 10 of about 12,300 for “racist against fat people”.

Hee; one of those links: “Fat people should be sent back to where they came from!”

Well, last night was pretty fun…took down all four Alliance Leaders and got For The Horde! achievement, pelted all four of them with my Red Rider Air Rifle…just need to pelt Mekkatorque with it now. A good deal of the 40-man raid was from the guild VALOROUS, which is one of the higher ranking guilds on Cairne…and it showed. We went through these four cities in about an hour with maybe 2 or 3 players dying at most per encounter. It took just as long to get the group together as it took to go through the four towns.

I learned that Iron Forge is the best place to start because it can be the toughest, especially if they know you’re coming. So we snuck in some Warlocks that can summon us into a forresty area of Dun Morough, away from any roads until we were all together, buffed and ready to ride straight through the front gate and to the throne room. In 3 or 4 minutes, the carnage was complete and any allies who wandered in by accident was our dessert. Either hearthed out or took a warlock (or mage?) portal to Orgrimmar and then flew to Zoram’gar and then rode north to Auberdine to take the boats to the other 3 strongholds.

Next was Velen at Exodor…too easy, too quick, too fun. Already killed this leader before, but I wasn’t able to pelt him with the BB gun the first time, but this time, I did. No resistance noted from the Allies, but if there was, it was futile.

Went back to the boat to Auberdine and then took the boat to Stormwind. Aside from the 500 guards chasing you all over town, there were a few Allies that caught wind of our crackdown in IF…about a half hour earlier. They managed to hustle a grand defense of about TEN players…too little, too late. They weren’t ready for us and they made for a great repavement of human asphalt over their cobblestone streets. Rode right back to the docks and back to Auberdine.

Lastly, Darnassus. Already took out the high priestess before (last week), but this time I needed to pelt her. Two or three Allies were there to witness the event, if only briefly. The fear laid down us was fun to watch though as we burned her down in 2 or 3 minutes. Hearthed back to Dalaran…and got our…Black War Bears!

Then did victory laps in Dal with our 40 players and bears!

Wooo, grats! Sounds like you had fun–which capital city raids often are when you have a solid group.

Interesting! I know it from the Ally side: start in Org 'cause it’s the hardest.

Mage portal. Warlocks can make summoning stones that can bring players to where they are (requires two other people to help make the stone, then any two people in the party or raid, potentially including the Warlock, can summon with it). Mages can teleport themselves or make portals to major cities.

Teleport might be the best thing about playing a Mage. Cyranus has Inscription to boot, which allows for Scrolls of Recall to wherever you’re hearthed. Place the hearthstone strategically (NOT in a major city, you’ve got Teleport spells to all of them) and you can bounce all around the world without ever once triggering the hearth cooldown.

I know I love the hell out of it. Smarati’s hearth is set to the Argent Tournament, since she doesn’t have enough seals for the tabard.

Grats Yeti! The bear is fun.

ding on 50. Now i have devastate. Not had the chance to use it yet though.
