So the release date for the new expansion was just announced today. Battle for Azeroth will launch on August 14th, 2018, or in a little over four months from now.
I finally got back into the game after the slog of WOD… And damn, legion is good. Already pre-ordered BfA, and planning on taking that week off!

Had some fun today. I haven’t played in weeks; been waiting for 8.0 and all. So today I made sure my addons were up-to-date (thanks Twitch! or whatever you’re gonna be called this month!) and logged in to find a new Silithus-oriented pre-BfA quest!

Okay, so it was a quick quest and I took screenshots and was glad I took the first. I was already at 82 AP, now I’m at a whopping full 127! I love the vibrating item window spewing arcane magic everywhere! It’s awesome, baby! Over the next couple of days I gotta do all my toons!
For those not keeping up, 8.0 is expected on 3 July (next Tuesday). I’ll have a thread up as soon as I see it happen, I promise.

Okay, I got all my toons through the pre-BfA quest line, so everyone has maxed out Artifacts now. I started clearing bank space for everyone for new mats and just generally getting ready for the xpac. Still can’t order the CE. 
Pre-patch coming in one week!
I still haven’t managed to get Ahead of the Curve: Argus, and probably will not. My raid team fell apart completely, and my wife and I have already found a new one, but they are just now working on getting AOTC as well (wiped last night at 0%, ouch) and don’t want to upset the apple cart by adding new folks to the roster until after pre-patch.
I think we will probably pugging into fail groups all week until we strike gold, though that is almost as likely as me finishing the Mage Tower on any toons or specs on which I haven’t already done so (which is only my main Vengeance DH, my Blood DK, and my Ele Shaman).
This is gonna be the shortest lead-in to a new xpac ever, IIRC.
I never bother with AOTC; not sure why it’s such a big deal to people.
I have been working on various achievements now, trying to clear a few grinders (got my 10k Daily Quest the other day, for instance) and do some old raid stuff.
The one achievement I prolly won’t get from this xpac that I’d like is The Rat Pack. It’s ridiculously easy, but would require that 4 other people in a PUG actually do something other than fly thru as fast as possible, so it’s unlikely I’ll ever get it. Ah well, c’est la vie.
I’ve been kind of enjoying the end of expansion malaise, but I guess I’m ready to start new content. Also been hunting down/finishing up a few achievements (currently annoyed by Free for all, more for me, I have all of them done except Black Rook Rumble which 2 out of 3 days is only up from 10am to 4pm on my server… still need to do it three more times).
Also really enjoying pvp a lot lately which I didn’t do much of for most of the XPAC until recently, but I’m up to Prestige level 5 after just a few weeks of BG’s and doing some Arenas for fun with guildies.
I have never actually been into raiding, and quit WoW during Cata (real life got in the way) then came back at launch for WoD, got REALLY bored and quit again, and came into Legion only in February. Decided to hit raiding pretty hard in the last couple of months, and just set AOTC as a personal goal.
I’m a little bummed at not hitting the goal, but at the same time, I am ready to move on to new content. I actually would have been perfectly happy to have a surprise pre-patch drop yesterday, to be honest.
