It loads slow, and has annoying music, but it’s worth the visit.

Thanks, y’all, for the photos. I cried while seeing them. Each candle and flower set out across the world is testament to the best part of a person’s heart. That strength is what will unite us and prevail over the aggression and hatred of this atrocity.

My friend put this tribute together. Here’s the text of the email she sent with it:
Dear friends…
Since the terrorist attacks against the United States began, I have watched in shock and felt deeply the loss of so many innocent lives. I’ve felt pain at the unspeakable horrors that took place and have wondered how could this happen… who could do these things…
Here in Australia we don’t feel removed from what has happed, rather we feel grieved by it and many of us have felt hopeless to do anything to aid those who are suffering. As tributes are pouring in, not only from Australia, but all over the world, from people of such varying backgrounds and beliefs, I saw these images and felt the need to put this page together in an effort to share something of the strength and compassion of those all over the world these past few days.
We have seen too much of the devistation of these events, constantly repeated in the media, to the point where many of us can stand it no more…
I’m sure too, that i am not the only one struggling with my emotions at this time… needing a release… and I hope that in some way, these pictures will help you to let some of those emotions out … as we see that the world is coming together in a common purpose…to support those who have lost so much.
Please feel free to forward this webpage to others… http://users.tpg.com.au/talie/remember.html
